Excursion Tip: Hiking to Mirror Lake in Schladming

Are you currently enjoying your vacation at ALPS RESORTS in Schladming and looking to explore the region more? Then we highly recommend a hike to Mirror Lake close to Schladming. Once you reach your destination, you'll be rewarded with the breathtaking sight of the Dachstein south face reflected upon the placid lake surface.

Mirror Lake in Schladming - the Perfect Photo Spot

The "Gasselsee" on the Reiteralm (actually the official name of the lake more commonly known as “Mirror Lake”) is one of the most popular photo spots in this holiday region. When the rhododendron are in full bloom from mid-June, the scene is incomparably beautiful and utterly rewarding. This small mountain lake is very shallow and not suitable for swimming, also due to nature conservation efforts. That said, we kindly ask you and your family to be considerate of our environment. Notwithstanding, the hike to Mirror Lake is definitely a worthwhile excursion for the whole family.

Where do I start my hike to Mirror Lake near Schladming?

Starting point: Preunegg-Jet mountain station, Reiteralm

You can reach it either by car via the toll road, or on the gondola lift or hiking bus. The choice is all yours.
